Can you tell me about Laos? What is it like there?
Hearing name of Laos, you probably feel like never heard about this county. But let me tell you it reveals fabulous monuments one layer of history after another. It is landlocked planet bordered by Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Myanmar, and China. You will feel like heaven on earth, where you spend your whole day surrounded by technology, all your busy day routines, and work, certainly you will find Laos very peaceful country. You will analyses that you have entered into the different world.
Beginning with, I would like to share my green paradise experience of two cities explored in Laos. Luang Prabang and Pakse – these cities are all surrounded by nature. After all, I love intimating nature and I have a keen interest in exploring historical scenes.
Pakse
I had immense tour while trekking in woods of Pakse. We were having 6-7 local guides and they all spoke fluent English and they were infallible. Many times I put myself in danger and they almost saved me although safety was their top priority. The camp had mixed culture as there were people all around the world. We had great food and dinner was a huge feast! Our huts were high in trees and it was my first exposure in sleeping tree huts with beautiful nature and mountains surrounded. The climate was mild and pleasant. I highly recommend this tour, had an incredible experience.
Luang Prabang
There are two things you can explore in Luang Prabang:
Buddhist temples: I read an article about temples and found Luang Prabang is known as ancient Buddhist temples. So it made my interest and added to my targeted list to visit. The place is very beautiful surrounded by all magnificent temples, at first glance you find it very attractive as they are very colorful and artistic. During sunrise, you will see monks in red collecting alms.
Namkhan Eco Farm: I have stayed in the Project for over 3 weeks between November and December 2017. And it was beyond amazing! The project strives to incorporate and invigorate the local community, which is a very noble cause to contribute to – it’s not just another resort or purely touristic place. The owners are really sweet people who really try to do everything to make the volunteers feel welcome and free to take initiatives. There is a various range of jobs that we could contribute to – building, carpentry, gardening, teaching etc. So no matter what skills you bring with you or which skills you want to develop further there is plenty of opportunities to do so! I personally loved the fact that we worked not only with volunteers from all over the world but also with many local Lao people. We worked together, we ate together and we partied together afterwards so there is a real sense of community there between everyone.

I could see Laos with their eyes and get a glimpse of their culture and language. The work hours are relatively short and after work, we had a lot of fun all together playing guitars, laughing, swimming in the Nam Khan river, exploring the city and many more !!!
