Why MongoDB is not open source?
As of my last knowledge update in September 2021, MongoDB is indeed open source. It is released under the terms of the Server Side Public License (SSPL). which was created by MongoDB Inc. This license contains terms that some in the open-source community consider more restrictive than traditional open-source licenses such as the GNU General. Public License (GPL). This has led to debates over whether MongoDB can truly be considered open source. It is recommended to check the latest information on MongoDB’s licensing to see if there have been any changes since then.
