I read Biology Every day but I don’t know what is Biology? I need this answer immediately. Because I want to square knowledge on biology. Please help me by giving this questions answer.
The word biology comes from the Greek word “Bios” which means “life” and “logos” which means “study”. So Biology means Study of life.
Biology is the study of living things and their vital processes. It is a natural science concerned with the study of life and living organisms, including their structure, function, growth, origin, evolution, distribution, and taxonomy. An organism is a living entity consisting of one cell e.g. bacteria, or several cells e.g. animals….
Janet has given the answer to this question clearly. When we combine both Greek words “Bios” and “Logos” we get the meaning of Biology that it is a subject of studying about life.
