Thanks for your questions “What are some must-go-to restaurants and cafes in Los Angeles “?
I think this questions restaurants in Los Angeles is very important for all like yours. Here I’m trying to give your answers in brief.

Our pick for the best restaurant for seeing a celebrity in LA would be Craig’s on Melrose Ave. It seems every night some of the most popular celebrities out there dine here.

Here’s a list of some of other popular restaurants A-List celebrities eat at:
Ceconni’s
SoHo House
Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel
Chateau Marmont
Fig & Olive
Sugarfish
Mr Chow
Maestro’s
Urth Caffe

Some of these can be pretty hard to get into and or expensive, so just be aware. And of course, there’s no guarantee the likes of George Clooney will be sitting at the table next to you but more than likely you won’t come away from these places disappointed, and at the very least, if you do eat there, you’ll get a pretty great meal.

Just in case those aren’t enough, we have a mobile app called StarSpot that shows what restaurants celebrities frequent, when and how often, that might help you as well.

I’m a giant foodie so I’ll just list my favorites. The majority of these are in the DTLA area because that’s where I lived:
Sugarfish in DTLA for sushi. They make it with warm rice and it literally just melts in your mouth.

Lemonade:
Cafeteria-style eatery with healthy selections and unique combinations (ie watermelon radish and seared ahi tuna.) Way pricey for what they serve, but delicious! Good for a quick bite. Bottega Louie for brunch. It’s somewhat overrated, but still an adorable setup. Note that the ceilings are very high which makes this restaurant quite noisy and not suitable for big groups.

Church and State Bistro: Adorable French-style Bistro. Quite pricey, but WORTH IT.

Cafes:
Chado Tea Room – Full English style tea service. They often have deals on Groupon. The food is okay, but the tea and the setting make it quite fun.
Four Leaf Cafe for boba and Japanese style crepes. It’s in the heart of little Tokyo and it’s AMAZING.

Urth Cafe:
Delicious, somewhat more “healthy” cafe fare and pastries. They’re always jam packed.
LA Cafe if it’s after 2 am and you’re craving something fattening. They have a lobster grilled cheese and they make it with brie. (Of course, you don’t have to go after 2 am. They’re just open very late.)
