Anxiety is your body's alarm system going off when there's no actual danger in front of you. It's not "worrying too much," it's your nervous system reacting like something's wrong, even when nothing is.

That's why it doesn't feel like a thought, it feels physical. Racing heart, tight chest, restlessness, a mind that won't slow down. Most people try to "think" their way out of it, but since it starts in the body, logic alone often doesn't fully turn it off.

In small doses, anxiety is normal, it's your body trying to protect you. It becomes a problem when it shows up too often, too intensely, or without a real trigger, and starts affecting daily life.
